Digital Training: Transform your idea into a project with EU, Athens, Greece
The final activity of the Erasmus + programme, nEU Citizenship titled: Transform your idea into a project with EU, was successfully held in May 2023 in cooperation with the University of Piraeus. The activity consisted of two training sessions that aimed to educate students about the European Solidarity Corps Programme and guide them through the process of designing and executing their projects.
Marilena Maragkou, who is the Co-founder and Project Coordinator of Youthmakers Hub and also a trainer of interactive training, led the participants through the process of applying for ESC funding, emphasizing the importance of answering “Why, How, and What” before submitting a proposal, and finding the right team to support their project.
The second session of the training was more hands-on, as the participants had the chance to work in groups, brainstorm and create an idea for a solidarity project. Then, with the guidance of the trainer, they discussed and refined their idea into a concrete and feasible project that they could potentially submit for funding.
Overall, the training provided an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the ESC programme, gain valuable skills and knowledge about project planning, and develop their ideas into a project proposal that could potentially receive funding. The collaboration between the project and the University of Piraeus has been successful, and the students who participated in the training are well-equipped to pursue their goals of making a positive impact in their communities.
